After the Carnival
Be sure to schedule one meeting after your event
is over. You can collect final reports from the committee that will be very
helpful in planning your next carnival. You can also exchange "war
stories" and brainstorm on what things you might do differently next time.
Collect all the information from your committee
and put it in a binder. At the least, include:
- Details on expenditures; How much did you
spent and on what?
- Details on income: How many tickets were sold?
What made money and what lost money?
- Details on setup: What games went where? How
many tickets did you use? How long did setup take?
- List of food: What was popular? Did it make
money?
- List of vendors: Who did you buy from and
would you use them again?
- List of games: Do you have instruction on how
to play each game? Where are they stored? Which ones would you do again?
Which ones had problems?
- List of prizes: What prizes did you use? Which
ones were popular? Where are the leftovers stored?
- Helpful hints: What did you learn to do? Not
to do?
Don't you wish you'd had a notebook like that to
work from? Future carnival planners will thank you for this effort!
