Archery / William Tell

With the popularity of the Hunger Games and movies like Brave, archery is more popular than ever.

Make a target out of plywood or foamcore (available at art supply stores) for arrows. Paint the board with a fun design and cut out holes large enough for the arrows to go through.

Another option for a target is to use foam noodles formed into circles, or hula hoops.

You can use a bow with foam arrows or a suction-tipped child's archery set. Each player gets to shoot three arrows at the target.

Variation

William Tell: Shoot the arrows at foam apples. The player tries to knock the apples off the stand.
